first steps

Koll Group and our product, the Koll calling app, were born out of a burning desire to fix fundamentally broken phone networks.

How can it be that companies and agencies still call from unfamiliar phone numbers in this day and age? Or that anyone can try to sell us something we don't need over the phone, swindle us out of our money or steal our data? Or that for the above reasons we do not answer calls from a recruiter offering a job opportunity, a doctor, a childcare centre, a parcel courier, a car service, an emergency service...?

It's time to say goodbye to unfamiliar numbers, annoying salespeople and phone scams. Goodbye calls, hello Kolls!

The Koll Group team has decades of experience in high security industries and we have drawn on all our expertise to build the Koll calling app. Our headquarters are located in Salo, Southwest Finland. We deliver our services from secure data centres within the European Union and all Koll calls are end-to-end encrypted.

Our ambition is that with the explosive growth in the number of users of the Koll calling app, the word call will be replaced globally by koll (calls vs Kolls). Koll means a trusted call where both parties know for sure who the other is and what they are being called about. Koll also means that the recipient of the call has full control over which calls are answered immediately, which are returned later and which are not answered at all.

Pekka Mettälä

Pekka has successfully led growth in several companies ranging from 100 million euro F-Secure to 2 million euro Roiduu. His expertise in international business, customer relations and people management is world class. Pekka is respected as a compassionate change and growth leader, known for his uncompromising focus on execution and results.

Developer of many well-known platform products, such as Oura and Yeply.
Lauri is a highly experienced IT professional with a diverse background in roles such as lead developer and CTO. Lauri is known for his exceptional ability to execute tasks effectively, and he is not afraid to tackle challenges head-on and immerse himself in the details to ensure a successful outcome.
